A: The Cookeville office schedules appointments on Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.  If you are a new patient, please bring your current insurance card and arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow time for completion of paperwork and to give our staff time to accurately add your information to our files. You will be asked to complete a health history form as part of this paperwork. If you wish, you can download the forms HERE and fill them out ahead of time.  It is important that your doctor has this information since medical conditions can require alterations in the approach to treatment.

At the time of your visit, our receptionist will ask you to complete a patient information form and to sign an authorization for release of medical information, as well as authorization for your insurance company to pay the practice for charges incurred. Our practice is HIPAA compliant and all information is strictly confidential.

We make every effort to stay on schedule; however, sometimes delays are unpreventable. We appreciate your patience during those times. Our staff will make every effort to see that you receive the same personalized attention that we afford all our patients. We will notify you promptly if your appointment will be delayed. Should you find it necessary to cancel your appointment, we ask that if possible, you give us at least 24 hours notice so that we can reschedule your appointment for another time and to offer this valuable time to another patient. Please call our office at (931) 526-6248 with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

A: If an emergency occurs during regular office hours, please call the office at 931-823-6244 (Livingston) or 931-626-6248 (Cookeville) to describe your condition so that Dr. Prigg may advise you properly.

If an emergency occurs after the office is closed, Dr. Prigg may be contacted through either Livingston Regional Hospital (931-823-5611).  If it is an emergency and you think cannot wait for Dr. Prigg to return your phone call, please proceed to your nearest emergency room.

A: Keep in mind that many pharmacies do not routinely carry all prescription drugs. Therefore, try to call for a refill a few days prior to taking your last dose to give the pharmacy a chance to order your drug.

Please call the office at 931-526-6248 and dial extension 10 when prompted to.  Please leave your name, date of birth, refill information and your preferred pharmacy.   We discourage prescribing new medications over the telephone, as an accurate diagnosis is usually possible only with an office visit.
Please allow up to 48 for refill requests.

A:With proof of insurance, our staff will file your health insurance as a courtesy. Deductibles and co-payments are the patients responsibility and we request those be made at the time service is rendered.
